misty demeans calls off retirement, will defend title against gaia galanos at gcc 20.

It's official, Misty Demeans will defend her GCC Featherweight Championship against Gaia Galanos after the star tweeted out the announcement this afternoon. While many MMA pundits and even her opponent Gaia Galanos herself predicted the fight would happen details are quickly emerging as to how the fight quickly came together at the conclusion of GFN 19 last night.

It's being reported that Misty DeMeans has been engaged in intense negotiations with President Fazan Khan who is said to be unhappy with his champion's antics. It's believed that Misty DeMeans never had any legitimate intentions to retire from the sport but rather used her retirement claim as a loophole to get out of her existing contract which saw her being paid a base salary of 500k per fight and a 25% percent win bonus along with additional incentives. Misty reportedly had a starting asking price as high as 1.2 million per fight but eventually worked out an agreement for an additional 300k guaranteed for a total of 800k per fight plus incentives.

Though, it's important to note that this is being considered as an amendment to the existing contract which is expected to expire over her next three fights. As part of the amendment in the event that Misty DeMeans does not complete any additional fights her contract will be voided with no additional settlement pay which all but guarantees that win, lose or draw she will likely remain with the GCC at least through to 2021-2022 calendar year.

The amendment to her contract makes her the highest-paid female fighter in the GCC, a claim she recently lost to her opponent Gaia Galanos who had signed a 600k per fight deal early last year. Gaia Galanos remains the biggest GCC draw in the companies history based on the raw numbers; a claim that has been hotly contested by Misty and her camp as ''bullshit'' skewed statistics. Nonetheless, the rematch between the two is expected to draw the companies biggest numbers yet.

Misty DeMeans and new business partner launches DeMeanor INC

In other news, it was also revealed earlier today that Misty DeMeans had filed a trademark for "Demeanor INC'' which appears to be a sports/entertainment firm owned by the undefeated MMA star. Her aspirations have come about after she was involved in the contract negotiations of her training partner and former Middleweight Championship Clive Hicks in which he scored the biggest payday in GCC history at 1M per fight.

At the time, Misty DeMeans had issued the following statement. "I am happy as fuck for the barely literate motherfucker. Ya'll know damn well if it weren't for me he would have walked out with like 100k tops, the Khan's will fuck you over if it means keeping money in their pocket so grandad can buy himself another Ferrari. Niggas be like, ''how Clive getting paid more than you tho?'' and it's clear they don't understand the business. You really asking that question like... if I'mma do more for you as my client than more for self - how is that not the best fucking deal in the industry? It's like go with Misty, she can get you paid more than even she does.''

A twitter page (@DemeanorINC) has been created by the firm, led by a multi time Dutch kickboxer Nathanya Dekker who has been listed as the companies CEO. Not much is known about Ms. Dekker at this time but it is believed that she is a close friend of DeMeans who was flown to train in Toronto, Ontario at HILITE FC as Misty's personal kickboxing coach earlier last year.

Demeanor INC client list reportedly includes former Middleweight Champion Clive Hicks, Current Lightweight Champion Fabiano Bonucci and newly signed women's bantamweight Tekeyah Jackson. It is expected that they will take on clients from additional MMA promotions, MMA gyms and intend to work closely with the entertainment industry specially splat television productions.
