Global Combat Championships is a MMA promotion based in Abu Dhabi owned by President/CEO Fazan Khan who is a 59 year old wealthy business man from Abu Dhabi who owns several high end Ferrari and exotic car dealerships across Asia. An avid fan of MMA in Asia, he saw an opportunity to offer an alternative to the American based promotions by providing new opportunities to high level competitors globally.

In July 2019, Fazan Khan officially announced the opening of GCC after trademarking the name several months prior. He has chosen to adopt the modern three five minute round format/five minute main events and title matches along with fights within a traditional octagon. With an international promotional plan in mind, a pride style rule set allowing knees to the head of downed opponents, stomps and 12 to 6 elbows are all considered legal in bouts held outside of the United States.
About Global Combat Championships
Contracts
Although stingy when it comes to spending money on production and staff, he is not afraid to reach into his deep pockets to offer competitive wages and other incentives such as exotic cars from his dealerships in order to sign established household names to the GCC brand. There is no set in stone pay structure in GCC but a local, entry or prospect level fighter is expected to make roughly anywhere between 15 to 35K per fight with a win bonus equal to their base pay.
Bonuses and Incentives
Fight of the Night - 75K for each competitor.
KO of the night: 50K
Submission of the night: 50K
This does not include any additional prizes or lavish gifts Mr. Khan may choose to provide to his most valued fighters.
In addition to these bonuses, Mr. Khan also has marketing and advertising team dedicated to selling products with their fighters likeness with 90% of the funds being paid out directly to the fighters generating substantial earnings dependant on the fighters popularity.
GCC will also provide full medical coverage should any injuries occur while training for a fight or during a fight. GCC will not cover any medical expenses for injuries that occur due to actions deemed risky such as driving a motor cycle, rock climbing, skiing, skydiving etc.
