Hi, ladies and gentlemen. With the announcement that we were re branding our social media website it was important for me to kick things off with a bang. At the end of the day, a nice website, a cool fight poster and snazzy graphics are great but the things our fans care most about are the FIGHTS!
So to my great friends, I have some big fights and some dates to share with you today.
Gaia Galanos returns to action on short notice, steps up against Alexia Amauri in GFN 9 main event on May 22nd.
After her title loss, Gaia immediately reached out to me asking me about her next fight. She wanted to get one back. She told me that she wanted to fight the best fighter we had available, the highest ranked and that she wasn't looking for anything easy. On the flip side, at GCC it's important that we keep our product fresh. New match ups. New opportunities. New stars and new top contenders. Insert Alexia Amauri. A fighter who has recently joined The House of Khan alongside Gaia Galanos. It will mark the first time in GCC history that camp mates are fighting each-other but that's how bad Gaia has wanted this fight, it didn't matter.
THE FIRST EVER GCC BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPION WILL BE CROWNED AT GCC 9: ITO VS. WARD DATE ANNOUNCED!
We already had the fight after Sammie Ward and Akane Ito advanced to the finals of the bantamweight tournament and now we have a date! June 5th. However, these ladies won't be stealing the show alone.
Krystal Knight vs. Nika Kosov - CO MAIN EVENT, GCC 9.
This was a fight that we had initially lost out on when we received the report that Nika Kosov had sustained an injury in training which caused her to be replaced by Misty DeMeans but now that she's all healed up, Krystal Knight is ready to welcome her back with open arms. And... Knees & Fists. It's a fight!
GCC 10 WILL FEATURE A DOUBLE MAIN EVENT WITH TWO TITLE DEFENSES
That's right folks. For the first time since GCC 1, GCC 10 will feature not one but TWO title fights on it's card. In an event that is bound to be stacked with some of the best fights all year! Which champions will be defending their titles has yet to be determined but championships WILL be defended come hell or high water!
