Hotel altercation involving GCC fighters

Earlier today, I reported that an altercation occurred in the hotel room of GCC Bantamweight #1 Contender, Ariel Shadows. While the first report did not give many details, several anonymous sources have come forward to paint a clearer picture of what happened.

At some point in the morning, GCC Heavyweight #1 Contender Ross Hanson and his father, professional wrestler Madman Szalinski, entered Ariel’s room. Their reason is not known, but it is believed that they did not have any intentions of starting a fight. Upon entering, Ariel and GCC Heavyweight Champion Alejandro Rivera were both present in the room. Both were scantily dressed. Something was said along the lines of “hurry up, we weren’t done yet” by Rivera and Madman responded by throwing the room’s desk phone at the couple. When Madman rushed at Rivera (using the bed as a platform to bounce at him) he was quickly subdued by both he and Ariel, who threw a couple more kicks than they needed to while Madman was on the ground. The hotel room door was left open, and the first two people to arrive were fellow GCC fighters who asked for their names not to be released. They said they saw Madman being stomped on by Ariel and Rivera, with Ross inches from having his hands around Rivera’s neck. This is when they got involved, pulling everybody apart and getting between the father/son duo and the couple. Madman appeared to have a laceration under his left eye, and the eye was swollen shut. He was also clutching his ribs when exiting the room. With everyone disbursed, and nobody talking, there wasn’t much for the police to do once they arrived. GCC is aware of the incident as well, but with a bare police report absent of any substantial testimony there is little they can do at this time as far as consequences related to their fight careers. And with neither man in tomorrow night’s main event injured from the altercation, there is apparently no change in the plans for GCC13’s main event Heavyweight title fight between Ross Hanson and Alejandro Rivera. However, it is safe to assume that the bad blood just got worse.
