Feloni DeMeans
''Alright ya'll know the drill... let's keep this shit short and sweet.''
SHERTARD MEDIA GUY
''With your sister submitting her opponent to retain her title, do you feel any added pressure?''
Feloni DeMeans
''Nope, I taught her everything she knows.''
SHERTARD MEDIA GUY
''And how about TW Combat Sports? The coach has insulted you on twitter multiple times but you have had yet to respond.''
Feloni DeMeans
''First time I am hearing of it that goes to show you just how little anyone gives a fuck about their opinions. All I know is before I got in there with Sammie Ward they didn't have that same energy and only a true bitch talks all their shit AFTER a fight.''
NOSEY KAREN
''Feloni, what's going on at highlight? Several prominent members have been kicked out at the discretion of your sister. Why?''
Feloni DeMeans
''Hell if I know. Like I told ya'll on twitter, I only train there twice a week. Three times MAX. So I can't really give you the nitty gritty plus I ain't a snitch anyways. Imma just keep it 100 with ya'll and tell you I really don't give a fuck. I never liked them. Sophie, a bit. The rest of them came from some other country and barely spoke any English. Those niggas can't sell any fights, can't make the gym no money so fuck em.''
FAKE NEWS GUY
''And why weren't you kicked out of the gym for reportedly having a poor work ethic?''
Feloni DeMeans
''Bitch please. I worked hard as fuck heading into this fight. Just cause' I ain't in the gym EVERY FUCKING DAY like Misty and them doesn't mean there ain't a method to my madness. I am wired differently, I don't need to be in the gym all the time to prepare for a fight. Plus, recovery is just as important as everything else. You can SLEEP but don't SLEEP on that recovery, you feel me? I'm good bruh, I'm chill as fuck.''
DEEP VOICE GUY
''What are your thoughts about Kiiara?''
Feloni DeMeans
''Fuck if I know, you tell me? I don't know if this chicks even alive at this point. Nobodies heard from her lately. First time I saw her she was getting tapped out and the last time I seen her she was pushing that redheaded step child Leah what's her face three rounds with gas leaking from the tank so truth be told you don't know what you're gonna get out of that chick come fight night but I'm ready for whatever.''
DEEP VOICE GUY
''And what's the big plan after you win this fight and get off the prelims?''
Feloni DeMeans
''Shit, I'mma re-up on this contract and get me paid some more money. I heard some niggas talking about how GCC ain't pay for shit but I've already made more than Misty did while she was out there fighting dudes at this point of my career and I haven't even won me a fight yet... shit. Life's good bro, I ain't tripping.''
Kathy Santos <MMA analyst> Hey, Tim. I hope all is well. At GCC 9 both you and Krystal managed to score your first set of finishes in your professional careers. How did you guys celebrate?
Tim laughs.
Tim McCarthy: Hah, well she kinda went off and did her own thing she isn't big on celebrating you know? I on the other hand, had a night out with the boys and had a couple beers. I used to be quite the party animal myself back in the day but I've simmered down since I hit the thirties! At the end of it all, we both were back in the gym on Monday.
Tyler McKesson <MMAkings.com> Tim, did you see your GCC ranking and were you surprised by it at all?
Tim McCarthy: Yeah, I seen it. I can't say I was surprised by it. That isn't me pulling any muscles to pat myself on the back, I just know that the Middleweight division is just starting to kick off. It's a whole different ball game for the ladies who really need to put together some spectacular performances to get up there on the rankings. That said, I think I've made it clear that I am the one to beat at 185 right now and another win here will set us up quietly nicely for a title shot.
Brett Bethel <Throwdown MMA> Mr. McCarthy, your opponent Sigurd Bjarnasson was kicked out of the HILITE FC team by coach Misty DeMeans earlier last week, what are your thoughts about this heading into the fight?
Tim McCarthy: I was surprised to be honest. I figured a gym like that had all their eggs lined up splendid in their basket but that's clearly not the case. I can't say too much about it because I haven't trained there a day in my life but it's not a good look for Sigurd Bjarnasson especially if the reasons for why he got kicked out were in anyway true. I don't let many things bother me but I am not keen on being disrespected, eh? If he didn't seriously train for this fight with me and shows up with sugar in the gas tank, I am really going to hurt this kid.
Jack Uri <Bookie> Tim heading into the fight you're the biggest favorite heading into the fight in GCC history, how do you feel about that?
Tim McCarthy: It's a honor but I am not quite sure if that isn't an indictment on Mr. Bjarnasson more than it is a vote for confidence in my skill and ability. Regardless, I'll be stepping into the octagon with a chip on my shoulder tomorrow night. I can't say that I feel any added sense of pressure because of it but it does get me pumped up to go out there and get another finish for the fans streaming at home, that's for sure.
Jack Uri <Bookie> And if you beat Sigurd Bjarnasson, what's next?
Tim McCarthy: That would be up to Mr. Khan. I know Ibanez and Clive are dancing in September so I am down for a title shot if I am called upon but otherwise, I trust in the match makers to set me up with the best fight available in the division at the time. All I know is after Friday night, I am going to want to do it all over again the second the fight is over.
Jack Uri <Bookie> Thanks Tim.
Tim McCarthy: No, thank you bud.
On the rumors of his retirement
"After losing to both Erik Malkasian and Alejandro Rivera I highly considered it. My coach and friend Jay Williams and I even discussed it with Fazan Khan. It was a very rough time in my life, but ultimately I chose to fight on, and had a good showing against Erik Johansen. That brought my spirits up, and now I'm ready for my fight against Ronan on Friday."
On his training camp
"It was a good camp. I trained a lot on my jiu-jitsu, my grappling, and my wrestling. We are very similar fighters in some aspects, so it's going to be a fun fight for everybody to watch."
On his fight with Ronan
"He's a very big man. If you've never seen him in person, he's a true sight to see. The man is an astronomical beast by all means.
I'm going to go in there, do my best, and hopefully I will come out with the win.
Ronan is a great fighter, and I do not take him lightly."
What the future holds for Tommy after GFN 11
"Right now I don't know. I know for sure that I won't be retiring for a long time. I do feel there are plenty of fights left in this body of mine. I'm hoping to someday get another crack at the title, but if I don't then I'm hoping to leave the sport with my head held high."
Any closing remarks towards Ronan
"I don't have anything derogatory to say about him. He's a great fighter, and he seems like a nice person. May the best fighter win on Friday night."
''Yeah, while the show drew less than initially anticipated the event was still a huge success. We know that have two big draws in Misty and Rob but I think a lot of the doubt surrounding whether or not the Misty fight was going happen and the relatively unknown status of Vishis Vourture in particular had impacted the overall numbers. Overall, it was exciting show and that saw some contenders emerge from our respective divisions.''
''Very impressive stuff from those two. I know it's easy for some of the fans to roll their eyes and say of course they did after the fact but leading up to the fight there were a lot of questions. Rob Jones being such a similar fighter to Vishis the general belief was that it was going to go either way but Rob Jones was dominate. On the other end, there were questions about Misty's ground game heading into the fight and how Jessica House was going to expose it only to result in Misty winning by submission. I don't think there is an MMA analyst in the world that predicted that sort of finish. If there was one - point me to them, I'd love to hire them''''
''We have a very talented and entertaining bunch. They are all going to be living together in the same house for a couple of months so it's going to be exciting how they interact with each-other. Fans especially american fans love reality television so to be able to get our foot in the door while still staying true to our product is very cool thing. When you watch GUF, it's not going to just be about fights the viewers will get to see the backstory leading up to the fights to really get invested in cheering on their favorites.''
''Ariel Shadows and Leah Wilkins by far. Shadows is already looking sharp, she's a seasoned vet stepping into the cage. When you look at Leah Wilkins though you just see so much potential. At her age, she's going to look like a completely different fighter five years from now because the upside is just insane. I almost didn't want to book this fight just yet but we need to start looking towards a contender to challenge Sammie Ward so the winner of this fight can expect even a bigger fight down the road with title implications. This is a big one, I can't wait to see how it goes down.''
''MMA is very unpredictable at times. I certainly couldn't have predicted that Sigurd Bjarnasson was going to have a fall out over HILITE FC a week out before his fight but that's clearly going to be factor now in this fight. Tim McCarthy is coming out of a great camp on the other hand and Lone Wolf MMA is one of the most respected gyms in the world right now. I usually try to remain as impartial as I can in these situations but I think Tim McCarthy is going out there with the intention to maul this kid. The betting lines have never been so one sided in a GCC main event, that's for sure. Sigurd isn't a slouch though so you still have the feeling that he's not going down without a fight, you know?''
