[Operator] Good day everyone and welcome to the GCC conference call! Today call is being recorded as it's time for opening remarks and introductions, I'd like to turn the call over to GCC President, Fazan Khan.
Mr . Khan: Thank you very much. I appreciate you all joining me here today. We have quite a special show scheduled this Friday as Sergiy Revenko will defend his lightweight championship against Rob Jones for the first time at GFN 8.
Before we hear from our competitors ahead of their bouts Friday Night, I am pleased to announce that our last event was a HUGE success. With over 200, 000 new subscribers to the splat network GCC 7: Galanos vs. DeMeans has been our greatest commercial success to this date and certainly has set the bar high for all future GCC events.
Despite the overall climate world wide, the GCC continues to prosper. In a time of financial insecurity, we have have signed several new fighters and sponsored several new MMA gyms that has resulted in hundred of new jobs my friends! While we haven't been able to share our product with live fans in attendance; support online and through our streaming partners makes it clear that fans world wide see GCC as much more than just a viable alternative in the MMA sphere.
As we look ahead to GFN 8 on Friday Night we have two men sharing the main event honors who have taken very different paths to get where they are today. Serigy Revenko is a quiet gentlemen, a hard working nose to the grindstone guy who has amassed a perfect 3-0 record on route to a GCC championship. Rob Jones, a loud, brash and controversial character in the world of MMA who was quickly humbled upon his signing with GCC. Yet, with the right mindset and refusal to quit we have watched him become a better man and a better fighter and now he has a chance to fulfill a life long dream on April, 17th.
I remind you of this not for you to be like Serigy or to be more like Rob but rather to be yourself, to remember that no matter where you come from, no matter your name or status, no matter the spot on the card you may find yourself fighting on Friday Night you are ALL capable of climbing the highest of heights in the sport as long as you train hard, dedicate your mind body and soul to your craft and never give up.
That's all I want to say, thank you friends.
Additional comments issued at the Phone Press Conference.

''Pfft, just watch what I do inside the cage. That should be statement enough. You want something to gossip about, go find Misty or one of these other endless trap running idiots.''
Sergiy Revenko
"Umm... I am very excited to be defending the title, I guess... Me and my team have really trained a lot for this one, and I'm thinking I can actually equal Jones in striking, and I'm definitely stronger in clinch. So yeah - I sparred a lot, and did some work on those machines over there, and some exercises, you know, for endurance and stuff, and watched Jones fights, and also strict diet..."'

JaySon, I want to give you a moment to respond to some of the things Jen Rivera had to say about your upcoming fight with her client?
[JaySon Francis]
Man, I really ain't pressed about what this little Thottie has to say. I think it says a lot about a man when he has to cut a percentage of his paycheck to pay some chick to speak out on his behalf. I promise ya'll it really ain't that hard to pick up the phone and speak on the subject. I don't get it, I don't understand that sort of mentality and I think it's all just some bitch shit too me. Client? Chill man. On my block, Jay Aguero's the client and she's the street merch. Count it.
[Operator]
You seem to direct most of your anger to his management, how do you feel about Jay Aguero himself?
[JaySon Francis]
He is so confident that he is going to knock me out, homie is really straight up delusional. He is training with his boy Tommy Ward, so what. He didn't knock me out either. So I guess you both are just exchanging tips on how to kill the clock and stall the fight like he did against me when he tried to hug me to death for three rounds. Real talk, I still took that L' but don't have this THOT out here talking all kinds of nonsense making promises on your behalf that you can't keep cause at the end of the day she isn't stepping in the cage against me, you are and your going to have to take that fall.
[Operator]
Jen Rivera has eluded to us earlier that your wins have only come over tomato cans and that you haven't beaten anyone in GCC worth the while, how do you respond?
[JaySon Francis]
My win over Ross Hanson is better than anything he's got on his resume anyways. We both 2-1. We both lost against the top guys in the division. He got this thottie out here talking about how I am out here scrubbing plates but who the fuck did he beat? Someguy who got cut after gassing out in 2 minutes in his first fight who drug his ass into a decision and Erik Johansen who just barely scraped together over a win over some other guy who didn't bother training for his fight. Nah man, flip the script. You in the cage with a REAL one tomorrow homie, you in there with a shooter. Trust me on that one.
[Operator]
What do you think of Jay Aguero as a competitor?
[JaySon Francis]
He's a solid cat, no doubt but if you come at me on some disrespectful pussyfoot shit then this is the type of energy imma put out in the atmosphere. Homie's in for a fight this Friday Night. There isn't a question in my mind that I am the better fighter and it's just about putting it all together like we did back at the lab.
[Operator]
Speaking of training camp, you were preparing for a fight without the fans. How do you feel about that and does it change your approach at all?
[JaySon Francis]
Oh the vibe different fo' sure but we are all shooters out here. I got my corner to ride with and that's all I need when the cage door closes. Meanwhile, this Thottie doing all this talking out here ain't even going to get a temperature check at the door because she ain't essential in anything and that makes Jay Aguero essentially a bitch. Catch me quick because imma chill for a second but I really do hope Jay steps into the cage with that same energy this loud mouthed cattie has but I doubt it.
[Operator]
Thank you for your time, JaySon Francis. Before we pass the call, is there anything else you would like to add?
[JaySon Francis]
All I can say is, I know my people are sick and tired of seeing the same folk at the top main eventing and getting title shots. Nobody wants to see Jay Aguero and Alejandro Rivera again, we seen what Alejandro did to this man a few months ago. It's time for gunplay MMA to get a shot at the a piece of gold, it's about time we change the complexion around here, you vibe? Bet. I ain't got nothing else to say, hit me up after the fight.
[Operator]
We have Seo-hyung Kwon on the phone next. She will be speaking on behalf of both Akane Ito and Da Eun Sin. Welcome to the conference, Ms. Kwon.
[Kwon]
Thank you very much.
[Operator]
First question. Xiahua Zhou feels very confidently she will be able to defeat Akane Ito and advance in the Bantamweight tournament.
[Kwon]
I assure you that despite Ms. Zhou's confidence, Akane Ito's confidence is just as high. Confidence alone doesn't win fights. Training, sacrifice, determination, grit and confidence along with skill wins fights. Akane wishes for me to relay that she has all of the ingredients needed to push past Ms. Zhou no matter how difficult it may be for her. She lost the first round in her last fight, but then came back to decimate her opponent. You see, it's all about strategy and Akane Ito's strategy is simple. Find the moment and execute.
[Operator]
Provided she gets past Xiuhua Zhou in the fight tomorrow, who does Akane Ito want to face in the finale? Does she have a preference?
[Kwon]
Only the strongest will survive. Akane Ito wants to test herself against the best this division has to offer. So, it doesn't matter if it's Sammie Ward or Cinzia Rossi, Akane Ito will be prepared to fight either competitor. Akane Ito has more determination than anyone I've ever been associated with. She is intense. She is driven. She is extreme. She wants this more than anyone has wanted anything in their life. This is all she knows. So, regardless, she is ready for any fight at any time.
[Operator]
Let's shift to Da Eun Sin's fight against Sanoh Ngam-Chit. It will be Ms. Sin's first fight with Global Combat Championship and she will be fighting on a much bigger stage than she has fought on in the past. Is she ready for this type of pressure.
[Kwon]
Da Eun Sin is someone I'm very familiar with. In fact, we went to the same school together. So, when you ask me if she's prepared, I assure you she is very prepared. Sanoh Ngam-Chit is a great athlete, but Da Eun Sin is an exceptional athlete. And while she will never look past a competitor, the fire in her eyes when she saw Misty DeMeans defeat Gaia Galanos for the Featherweight Championship was a site to behold.
[Operator]
She feels she could beat DeMeans?
[Kwon]
She may not be ready yet, but she plans to carve her path fight after fight until GCC has no choice but to give her a fight against DeMeans. It may take several fights to get there but that's exactly what she intends to do. Sin will show you all just what she can do tomorrow.
[Operator]
Thank you for your time.
[Kwon]
Thank you.
[Operator]:
Ladies and gentlemen we have, on the line, Sammie Ward, representing T.W Combat Sports. How are you doing Sammie?
[Sammie]:
Pretty good. Relaxing. How are you?
.
[Operator]:
I'm doing good. I want to thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Shall we get started?
[Sammie]:
It's your dime, guy.
[Operator]:
(chuckles) In the first round of the bantamweight tournament, you went head to head with a big name in Feloni DeMeans. It was also your professional debut. Do you feel any different heading into Friday night and your semifinal fight against Cinzia Rossi?
[Sammie]:
Not entirely. I've always been confident in my abilities. I've been training in the martial arts since I was four. I had my first fight two days after my eighteenth birthday. I've had my ups and downs.
However, the fight with Feloni was my first televised fight, so it was a little nerve-racking. I've gotten that out of the way so I should be fine.
[Operator]:
How do you feel going up against a fellow world class striker like Cinzia?
[Sammie]:
Cinzia is an amazing striker and a badass in the clinch, but you've got to remember it's a fight, not a kickboxing match.
[Operator]:
Ahh! So we may get to see some of the ground game that your family is known for?
[Sammie]:
Possibly. You have to tune in to find out.
[Operator]:
I, for one, can't wait to see this fight. Do you have any final thoughts before we hang up?
[Sammie]:
Don't forget to tune in Friday night at 9pm, streaming live exclusively on 'We are Splat!'.
[Operator]:
Sammie I want to thank you for joining us. It's been a pleasure talking to you.
[Sammie]:
Not a problem.
[Operator]: T.W. Combat Sports is certainly looking to further establish themselves as the premiere camp in Global Combat Championships. Now on the line we have the life manager of one half of our Co-Main Event of the evening, Jen Rivera. Jen, we’d like to thank you for taking the time to speak with you regarding Global Fight Night 8.
[Jen Rivera]: It’s always a pleasure. As the life manager of the premiere athlete here in Global Combat Championships, The New Perfection Jay Aguero, I pride myself on being the voice of your future GCC Heavyweight Champion.
[Operator]: Those are certainly strong words. One would believe that a win at GFN 8 could place Jay Aguero closer to contention against current GCC Heavyweight Champion, Alejandro Rivera. Before that, Jay Aguero has a tall order in front of him with JaySon “The Praying Mantis” Francis.
[Jen Rivera]: And that’s just one reason why you have me here speaking on behalf of The New Perfection. Jay is back at the hotel continuing his strict regimen and getting mentally prepared for tomorrow’s fight. He does not look past his current opponent in JaySon Francis but he does have an agenda with tomorrow’s contest.
[Operator]: And what agenda might that be?
[Jen Rivera]: The last time the world saw The New Perfection he was taking on Erik Johansen in a bout that needed to be stopped by the referee due to Jay laying in strikes left and right without contest from Johansen. That was a statement. It was a statement directly targeted to Alejandro Rivera. To date, Alejandro is the only fighter in GCC that holds a victory over The New Perfection; albeit by decision. The current GCC Heavyweight Champion did not defeat The New Perfection. The New Perfection defeated himself. So, last time, we saw Jay put Johansen down with a series of strikes. Tomorrow’s agenda is to wear down Francis, light him up with combinations and take him off his guard. Tomorrow’s agenda is to leave Francis lying on his back staring up at the lights.
[Operator]: So it is safe to say that The New Perfection is not looking to go the distance with The Praying Mantis?
[Jen Rivera]: That is correct. The New Perfection has already shown that he is capable of going the distance. He wants to send a message to Alejandro Rivera that when they get the inevitable rematch, he is going to knock his ass out. We are not worried that Jay is contending against a man that had knockout of the night in his last bout. No, we have been training with the best camp there is affiliated with GCC. Of course I’m talking about T.W. Combat Sports; the very same camp that Tommy Ward trains at. The very same Tommy Ward that represents the 1 in Francis’s 2-1 record. We know the ins and outs of the supposed Praying Mantis’s repertoire and tomorrow night The New Perfection is going to silence him once and for all. We’re going to prove that those wins Francis has garnered were against bums and he should be relegated back to the undercard. In the meantime, he can thank The New Perfection for allowing him to share the limelight of the Co-Main Event and the money that comes along with it.
[Operator]: Confidence is strong in your camp. Are there any final comments you would like to say before GFN 8?
[Jen Rivera]: JaySon Francis, tomorrow night, when you’re lying on the ground looking up at the lights just know that it isn’t personal. Your defeat at the hands of The New Perfection is strictly business and you are simply the next step on the path towards that GCC Heavyweight Title.
[Operator]: Thank you very much for your time and statements. On the line now we have one of the four women featured in the GCC Bantamweight Championship tournament, Xiuhua ‘Dizzie’ Zhou. Firstly thank you for joining us here for the company’s conference call event. How are you doing today?
Xiuhua ‘Dizzie’ Zhou: Thank you for having me on for the call. I’m doing well, feeling good, I ain’t deal with any jet lag this time around so I’m golden.
[Operator]: That is great news. Now we wanted to get your thoughts on your upcoming fight as well as the Bantamweight Championship tournament as a whole. How are you feeling following your first fight with GCC and the tournament so far?
Xiuhua ‘Dizzie’ Zhou: My last fight? That’s in the past. Nothing against Kiiara but once I took her out that’s the last she’s been on my mind. The tournament has had some pretty interesting fights but best believe I studied them all forwards, backwards, and side to side. As the future champ I gotta know what everyone is all about. However my sole focus, for now, is on taking out Akane.
[Operator]: Now for this latest fight, you trained with T.W. Combat Sports for the first time. What were your thoughts on how you felt your fight camp went?
Xiuhua ‘Dizzie’ Zhou: Training with them has been wild. I’m huge on both coaches and fighters pushing themselves to be the best they can and they definitely got that mindset. I learned a lot, studied and put into practice my game plan in several different ways. Got me feeling real good and ready to fit that gorgeous title around my waist.
[Operator]: Those are some very confident statements Ms. Zhou. So how are you feeling about your fight against Akane Ito and what are your thoughts about her?
Xiuhua ‘Dizzie’ Zhou: Akane ain’t no joke. She’s incredibly tough and smart when it comes to her discipline. But that don’t mean she’s unstoppable. My camp and I came up with the keys to victory against her and I’m looking forward to making that happen. I respect her, but I don’t fear her, just like I don’t fear any challenge put before me. I meant what I said from the jump about building my dynasty and that will continue at Global Fight Night 8.
[Operator]: Do you have any final comments you’d like to say to everyone before GFN 8?
Xiuhua ‘Dizzie’ Zhou: I want to give my thanks for all the support everyone has given me. From friends to fans, from my boyfriend to my coaches, all y’all been amazing and I wouldn’t be where I am without you. But don’t think for a minute that means I’m settling, hell the day anyone does that, they’re done. I want to be the best and continue to prove that point as long as I can. My journey continues tomorrow when I beat Akane Ito because I will be the first GCC Bantamweight Champion. Thank you.
[Operator]:
It's always a pleasure to speak with President Khan. On the line now is Friday night's lightweight title challenger 'The War Machine' Rob Jones. How are you today, Rob?
[Rob Jones]:
First things first, before we begin. I heard what Khan said. Nobody humbled me. Nobody did shit. I beat myself last August by stepping away from my striking. As for.that dry humping little boy who calls himself 'The Collector' he's lucky I haven't got a chance to rematch him. I'd knock him out, just like I did to Cayden Redfield.
[Operator]:
...Rob, this Friday night, you're fighting Sergiy Revenko for the lightweight championship. He's truly your toughest foe. How have you prepared for him?
[Rob Jones]:
I've fought better fighters than Sergiy Revenko and finished them. The kid hasn't given me a reason to respect him. He beat some jabroni named Archie, he beat Jack Rogers, and some washed up has-been. He's never fought somebody like me, and I've beat better than him.
Now I have some advice for Sergiy. Kid I suggest that you show up Friday night with your head held high and fight like you never fought before, but accept that when it's all said and done you'll be leaving GFN 8, the former GCC lightweight champion.
…
