GUF HOUSE #TeamRossi #Team Nation
Several members of Team Rossi are up late celebrating Jessie Wilde's victory over Sunil Khan which causes several members of Team Nation to be disturbed in their sleep.
Esteban Garcia and Nikoli Volkov confront Oliver LaPierre, they admit to having a vodka stash hidden in the house after Oliver LaPierre smelled the alcohol on Esteban during a training session. They tell Oliver LaPierre to keep it under wraps and not to snitch on them and he can access the stash whenever he wants. Oliver declines but tells them that their secret is safe with him.
Jacob Klein approaches several members from Team Rossi asking them to please quite down. Team Rossi obliges but Carson Carver steps in to tell Jacob Klein to go fuck himself and that if it was there team that was winning they'd be up celebrating they were. Klein tries to reason with Carver and other members of team Rossi but the interaction becomes hostile and results in Klein retreating back to the bedroom for the night.
Sanit Klahan and Anurak Chanthara are not at all disturbed by the events. When Chanthara checks in to bed for the night he puts on a pair of headphones and blasts his favorite tunes to drown out the background noise. He tells Sanit Klahan that they should allow them (team Rossi) to enjoy themselves while it lasts.
GUF GYM #TeamRossi
Nikoli Volkov has fallen asleep on the rolling mats. Word quickly gets back to Paul Rossi who rails on Nikoli Volkov for his lack of work ethic in the gym. He questions if Volkov if he really wants to be here and that if it was Team Nation who had the pick of the litter his ass would up next. Nikoli apologizes for falling asleep and tells Rossi that he just stayed up too late celebrating Jessie Wilde's win. Paul Rossi tells Volkov that if it happens again, he'll be kicked off the team.
Someone has defaced a TW combat sports mural in the GUF gym by drawing a Hitler mustache on the GCC lightweight champion Rob Jones and adding the words ''former''under his name. An outraged Paul Rossi later finds the mural has been defaced and begins to speculate who was responsible for it.
Tanner Mcklesson nervously approaches Oliver LaPierre telling him that he admires his wrestling ability and would like to work with him to improve that area of his game. He tells them that he knows that HILITE FC probably doesn't like him or anyone from TW Combat Sports but that he has no problems with Oliver. In turn, Oliver tells him he feels the same way about the situation and would be more than happy to show him a few things on the mats.
Tyreek Briggs expresses dissatisfaction with the gameplan Paul Rossi has put together for him in his match up against Anurak Chanthara. This is further worsened after speaking with Tyron Bagley after team practice who encourages him to disregard Paul Rossi's flawed gameplan and to just go out there and do what he's always done to get onto the show. He decides that he is going to try to keep the fight standing and to use the clinch specifically the Muay Thai clinch to his advantage.
GUF Gym #TeamNation
Sunil Khan dedicates most of time to work with Javi Ali. With Sunil out of the competition he tells Javi Ali that he is fully dedicated to making sure that Javi Ali lives up to the House of Khan name. Javi tells Sunil that he should remain ready because things can change quickly with just one injury or significant event within the house and that he needs to position himself as the right man to step in as a replacement.
In a sparring session, Danny Cross gets the best of Demetrius Vitalis. While Vitalis is laying on the mat, Arius Pagnois tells him that it's only a matter of time that he gets exposed in front of everyone and reminds him that he does not belong here.
After training practice, Jacob Klein thanks Danny Cross for coming to the gym. Danny tells Jacob that although his run in the tournament has come to the end he feels obligated to be there for him even if he feels Tundra MMA was not. Despite the difference of opinions, Klein expresses that he still has belief in Tundra MMA and headcoach Team Nation.
Jack Nation works with Anurak Chanthara developing a game plan based on takedowns, clinch work and controlling the fight on the ground. Anurak Chanthara is instructed to not push for the finish unless it becomes available to him. There was also an emphasis placed on submission defense to avoid any potential threats Tyreek Briggs may pose offensively.
THE FIGHT
GUF Backstage #TeamRossi
Having lost the fight and control of the fight picks, Paul Rossi throws a tantrum in the Team Rossi locker room. He curses profusely and tosses a garbage can across the room as Tyreek Briggs is removing his gloves and being consoled by his team. Paul Rossi unable to contain his anger any longer storms out of the locker room slamming the door shut behind him.
Tyron Bagley and Carson Carver are upset with Paul Rossi's reaction leaving Jessie Wilde to defend his actions to the rest of the team. Jessie Wilde tells them he's just passionate and has everyone's best interest at heart and to cut coach some slack. Jessie Wilde looks to teammate Tanner Mcklesson for reinforcement but he remains quiet and in his shell.
Oliver LaPierre tells his team that he will go talk to Rossi himself and that they should make sure Tyreek Briggs is alright. When he leaves the locker room he runs into head coach Jack Nation who tells Oliver that Rossi has stormed out of the building and was probably headed to the parking lot. He tells Oliver that he's a good kid and wouldn't mind having him train with Team Nation if things don't work out on Team Rossi.
GUF Backstage #TeamNation
Head coach Jack Nation joins his team in the locker room as they pile on Anurak Chanthara who is just about the biggest guy there. Jack Nation tells his team that they now have control of things and stress the importance of capitalizing on this now that they have the momentum on their side. He tells them that Paul Rossi is having a mental breakdown over this loss which only makes the members of Team Nation celebrate even more.
After the locker-room clears out Sanit Klahan is alone with Anurak Chanthara. He tells them that he's proud of what he's done and that they are going to go all the way to put Thailand on the map. Sanit jokes with Anurak that now he he has put all the pressure on him to pull through to the next round.
Before the fight selection meeting, Arius Pagnois apologizes for his outburst last week and tells Jack Nation that he overreacted and was out of line. Jack Nation thanks him for his apology before Arius Pagnois presses the issue of him fighting next. Arius says that now they have control if Jack wants to ensure they keep it and tie things up, he needs to be the next one to fight. Jack Nation hears him out but does not commit to anything and tells him he'll think about it before he makes his decision.
GUF GYM FIGHT SELECTION MEETING
At the fight selection meeting, Jack Nation selects Arius Pagonis of Themis Palestra Athens to go up against Kosov Kourt's Nikoli Volkov in the lightweight division. The two men meet in the center and hold a fight pose. Arius is grinning ear to ear with Nikoli Volkov is stoic the two back away from each-other and rejoin their teams.
