Hey there! So you've joined GCC, now what's next? Here, I will describe what our plans will be for the near future.
WEIGHT CLASSES
Over the next several months, we hope to grow the GCC family and add new divisions. For now, we have started with the Men's lightweight and Women's featherweight division. Our next planned divisions are Men's welterweight 156 - 170 lbs and Men's heavyweight 206 -265 lbs which will be coming shortly. In the long term, I plan to introduce the following divisions within the next year.
Women's Bantamweight 135 lbs
Men's Middleweight 171 to 185 lbs.
Men's Light Heavyweight 186 - 205 lbs.
Men's Super Heavyweight 266+ lbs
HIDDEN ATTRIBUTES
You've signed up to GCC and received your stat rolls, your not quite done yet! Within the sim, there are two additional variables that have been set to ''0'' for ALL fighters. These stats are EXPERIENCE and CAGE COMFORT.
These stats will increase naturally by the sim among all fighters every time they fight and scale depending on a fighters success. The more times a fighter has fought in GCC the higher their experience and cage comfort stats will rise which will lower the odds of suffering stat decreases associated with nervousness or high pressure situations. A fighter with less experience and comfort in a cage is more likely to make errors during a fight.
Please note, this does not mean that a fighter who has had ex. 10 fights will not or cannot lose to a fighter theoretically on their debut GCC match up. It also does not mean that if fighter A has more experience then fighter B, that the stat penalties/award associated with these two categories is guaranteed to pop during the fight.
MMA GYMS
MMA gyms are currently in the game but remain exclusively as in character flavor, in the next few months this will change. Once our divisions have been established and the roster size is healthy, gyms will be a functional part of the sim and will impact an individual fighters game planning stat based on the gym they are apart of. A gyms game planning stat will increase/decrease depending on the success of their fighters training out of their gyms. The more successful the gym the better their game planning stats will become with camp loyalty being a factor as well.
This means that the current game planning stat your fighter has will eventually be separated from your mental stats and tied directly to the gyms game planning rating based on your gyms overall performance. Once this change occurs in GCC any points you have earned on your fighter will be spread evenly among your Killer Instinct and Heart mental stats.
Game planning determines your fighters ability to stick to a game plan and allows them to better asses their opponents strengths and weakness as well as adjust their strategies in between rounds. A fighter with lower game planning stat may underestimate their opponents abilities or cause them to think they are winning a close fight.
Also to note, Killer Instinct effects your fighters eagerness to finish fights when they've hurt their opponent. The higher this rating is, the more likely your fighter is to stomp a downed opponent etc and Heart increases your fighters chance of rallying back after being hurt and increases their physical toughness when caught in submissions or generally bad situations.
RANKINGS
Finally,I will look to add top 10 rankings. P4P rankings and rankings listing the top gyms according to their game planning stats. This will be initiated in the next few months once our divisions have filled out and have a healthy amount of talent on the roster.
These are just some of the plans in the near future, many more big things to come! Thank you for reading and joining the GCC roster!
