GCC expansion
Our main focus in 2020 is expansion. We want more handlers, more fighters, more events and more affiliates. With this in mind, we hope to add one of the following three divisions in the first quarter of the year.
Women's bantamweight (126-135)
Men's Light Heavyweight (186-205)
Men's Super Heavyweight (265+ and above)
This will depend on how healthy our current divisions are and also the demand of our roster for these divisions. If you would be interested in creating a fighter in any of the divisions, place your email here for a headcount.

Interim GCC championships & More Tournaments
With expansion in mind, we will be granting new title opportunities to new handlers and new joins in our weakest divisions. The winner of these tournaments will be granted with the interim championship in the respective weight class and will challenge the champion of the weight class at a later date. Interim champions are not officially considered Global Champions until they beat the reigning GCC champion in the respective weight class.
Our first tournament will be at lightweight and will be announced at a later date.
Fed gyms removed
A few weeks ago we announced that we would be bringing in specialized gyms for our affiliates and their members. After much consideration, we will no longer take that route and focus on allowing individual handlers or friends to continue to get together and create their own gyms.
Global Ultimate Fighter (GUF) reality show
In 2020, GCC will have it's own GUF reality show. This is a feature directly within the sim. 8 handlers managing two fighters (one on the blue team vs. Red team) will compete weekly in a tournament style format to be crowned the first ever Global Ultimate Fighter. This is a sped up version of our current game. The two head coaches of the red and blue team will fight at the finale.
GUF Features:
- This is a quick version of GCC. Each handler will submit a short version of a camp report detailing the three strategies they would like to implement. This means it should take no longer than 2-3 minutes to submit your reports.
- Each handlers fighters are ''Drafted'' with preset fighting styles, stats and tendencies. This means your coaching abilities are put to the test as you will be using fighters you may not otherwise have created.
- Winner of the GUF series will enter GCC with a contract, an exclusive ''high pressure'' trait and other camp related perks/bonuses that are within the balance of the game and will be announced at a later time.
- The winner while initially starting off with reduced stats will have their stats equalized and in line with the rest of the main roster at the conclusion of the show.
- We will allow you to change the name and biography of the fighters you draft to your liking.
We need 8 handlers to participate for a total of 16 GUF contestants. If you are interested please indicate here with your email address or contact me on twitter or by email. You do not need to be a current roster member to participate. We will not launch the season until we have 8 handlers signed up.

Patch Notes and Updates 01/08/2020
- Fighters who do not submit camp reports start with 20% stamina and 0 consistency.
- Recruiting new handlers to GCC gyms will give the gym +3 GP stats instead of +5.
- % -5 reduction on ALL chin ratings. This does not effect your stats on your application as ALL chins were already buffed in the simulation. This change has already been in effect since GCC 3 Malkasian vs. Ward.
- The max consistency rating from a 5 star report has been reduced from 90 to 89. This change will take place after GCC 4.
- There will no longer be a +5 popularity bonus for submitting camp reports.
- Maximum popularity gain per event is now +20 pop. The popularity thread has been updated to reflect these changes.
Patch Notes and Updates 02/05/2020
Previous announcement regarding chin ratings have been reversed. Fighters will not lose chin rating points for being knocked out in previous fights.
These are some of the updates and changes that we've made. Stay tuned for more news and updates throughout the year. Thank you all for being apart of the GCC family and I look forward to seeing what this new year has in store for us all.
