This post will provide a little bit more insight on what a training report would begin to look like and the difference between a five star caliber training report vs. a poor training report.
A poor report looks like: (WILL NOT EARN TRAIT)
Fazan has been working on his BJJ.
An average report looks like: (MAY EARN TRAIT)
Fazan has been working on his submission defense from the bottom position everyday.
A great or an amazing report looks like: (WILL EARN TRAIT)
Fazan has been working on his escapes particularly from the bottom position as he knows his opponent prefers submissions from the top position and is dangerous with arm chokes such as the arm triangle.
Another example;
A poor report looks like: (WILL NOT EARN TRAIT)
Fazan trained hard on his boxing.
An average report looks like: (MAY EARN TRAIT)
Fazan has worked extensively on the heavy bag to work on his combinations.
A great or an amazing report looks like: (WILL EARN TRAIT)
Fazan worked extensively on the heavy bag improving his combinations, he knows that he likely lacks the punching power to knockout his opponent with a punch so he plans to try to score favor with the judges by overwhelming his opponent with a high volume of effective strikes instead.
Last example;
A poor report looks like: (WILL NOT EARN TRAIT)
Fazan trained his take down defense
An average report looks like: (MAY EARN TRAIT)
Fazan brought in a top team of professional wrestlers so that he could drill his take down defense with them.
A great or an amazing report looks like: (WILL EARN TRAIT)
Fazan brought in a top team of professional wrestlers to emulate his opponents grappling style. He knows his opponent has great slams and will try to avoid clinching with his opponent because Fazan believes he has a good enough sprawl to prevent his opponents double. He knows his superior foot movement should allow him to keep the fight on the feet and his opponent within his range.
These examples should give you a better idea on what we are looking for in your camp reports. We want to know WHAT you preparing for, we want to know HOW you are preparing for your opponent and WHY you implementing a specific strategy whether you are playing to a specific one of your fighters strengths OR you are looking to exploit an opponent's weakness.
Keep in mind, you can only earn up to three traits in a single camp so although your report may be more detailed than your opponents, you'll still earn three traits that make the most sense based on your report and your fighters skill set vs your opponents.
Average reports that I have stated a fighter (MAY EARN TRAIT) is dependent on the quality of the rest of the report.
Also keep in mind that grossly inaccurate reports will also cost you the ability to earn the trait and will lower your overall score regardless of how well it was written. This can be avoided easily by simply reading the scouting report on your opponent beforehand and having a basic understanding on what your own fighters strengths and weaknesses are.
The overall quality of your report will determine how much stamina your fighter has on fight night along with the traits earned based on the reports submitted. You will learn privately what bonuses you have earned at least three days prior to the event. In character, there is an open workout event which will give everyone else a general idea on how each fighter is looking heading into their respective fights.
This system is in place to truly reward each handler that takes the time to submit a report and gives us each the ability to game plan and role play beyond just playing with a set of numbers or sliders. The best part about it is it will truly be reflected in the sim and you'll be able to watch it happen live.
