Signing up for Efedder
Efedder is a social media platform launched by our partners at We are Splat. It's a twitter/Facebook alternative built with role playing in mind. The project is still considered a beta so we will still utilize all other forms of social media per usual.
DISCLAIMER: In the same way TWITTER or even a FORUM account is not a GCC requirement,
neither is Efedder.
Benefits of Efedder
+ Unlimited fighter/Gym accounts/Fan accounts
+ Accounts can be created with invalidated emails (just don't forget your password!)
+ No phone verification needed for multiple accounts.
+ No character limits per post
+ GCC news and updates will be posted on Efedder first, twitter second. Also there will be exclusive fighter related content posted exclusively on Efedder.
In addition to these benefits, players who sign their fighters up with efedder will receive the following in game bonuses.
+ One time +15 fighter popularity bonus (International popularity fighters will receive half per current rule)
+5 popularity bonus for promoting fights on Efedder (as well as) Twitter, Character Development on the Forums or Front page news articles during fight cycles.
GYM accounts that handle multiple fighters may sign up under their gym account and receive the sign up popularity bonus for each fighter in bulk but they each must participate in at least one press conference individually when they are scheduled to fight to receive those sign up bonuses.
GCC PRESS CONFERENCES MOVING TO EFEDDER
While Efedder will not be a requirement to participate in the GCC we will be moving our press conference threads to the efedder platform which will allow handlers with multiple characters represent their fighters more actively by not having to create multiple forum profiles at a time using a bunch of different email addresses. This new setup will also allow fighters to more easily engage in shorter back and forth banter as you typically would see at a real MMA press conference if they wish.
This change will take effect at GCC 20: DeMeans vs. Galanos II.
Updates:
1. Although the press conferences will be held on Efedder, you may link your press conference piece back to the GCC forums on EFedder by making your post in our Character Development section of our forums.
What will happen to the GCC twitter?
The GCC twitter will still receive regular updates and retweets of our fighters still active on the platform. You will still receive the benefits of hyping your fighters on twitter as you now will also on efedder. Efedder however will be our hub for even more fighter content in the future.
