On the GUF season
''I think it was a fun experiment and I think we have seen a few fighters come up the GUF ranks that have championship potential in the future. I also think it was a great learning experience for some other guys who have likely realized that fighting - specifically in the GCC isn't for them and in going through the process hopefully they have realized that and can embrace it. The sooner they do, the sooner they can make something of themselves in another career field and enjoy life success. I wish all sixteen of those guys the best of luck and we'll see what the future holds.''
On the GCC Middleweight finale
''Javi is like a son to me, he's an amazing person and someone who has stuck to his morals and his beliefs through and through and is a very important voice within The House of Khan system. With his such strong will, it's no surprise that he has made it to the finals. On the other hand, he's going up against Demetirus Vitalis who some argued shouldn't even had made it on the show but he has undoubtedly proved that he belongs time and time again. If he could go on to win it all, it'll be like a modern Cinderella story within the lore of MMA. This is an extremely fun match up for the fans.''
On the next lightweight contender
''Sanit Klahan has never failed to impress during his GUF stint. This guy is a real killer. He's also extremely marketable with our product with his ability to communicate with fans in so many different languages so it would be a pretty big deal if he could knock off Jacob Klein. Jacob on the other hand, I think much like Vitalis he surpassed anybodies wildest expectations. This kid is as young as Sammie Ward was when she won the bantamweight champion, so he could very well join her in the ranks of the youngest GCC champion if he can manage to knock off Klahan and then upset Rob Jones before the New Year. Still, I must admit that I think the smart money is on Sanit Klahan here.''
On the CO MAIN EVENT
''Gaia Galanos is a fighters, fighter. She has been vocal in her wanting to fight my granddaughter Rupika Khan but didn't want to wait for the fight and demanded we put something together to keep her busy, insert Sassy Vega. This is a dangerous fight for Galanos seeing as Sassy Vega just knocked off the former GCC featherweight champion Mila Sauvage who came into the fight ripped and in the best shape of her life. On the books, Gaia Galanos is heading into this fight with a lot more to lose and Sassy Vega is playing with house money at this point - and yet with a huge win here it would propel her into title contention talks. This is a huge fight for both women.''
On Paul Rossi vs Jack Nation
''These two guys can't stand each other and Paul Rossi definitely feels like he has a chip on his shoulder after Team Nation had decimated his squad on the Global Ultimate Fighter. After a great opening week, the rest of the season went downhill quickly as Team Rossi piled loss after loss for the remainder of the season which resulted in both finale brackets being filled with Team Nation guys. Jack Nation has been in great spirits since feeling that he has the mental edge, he's also a middleweight looking to go down in weight so naturally he'll have a size advantage at fight night despite the 170 catch weight stipulation. Paul Rossi has a lot to prove tomorrow night and a win over Jack Nation will propel him into the upper echelon of the Middleweight division before he even has his first fight!''
Jack: Hello everybody.
Jack Nation says as he appears on Zoom. The reporters greet Jack in kind.
He situates himself at his hotel room desk, before pulling a white undershirt on over his head.
Jack: Does anybody have any questions today?"
He asks good naturedly. Several reporters begin to speak at once, but Jack holds up his hand to silence them.
Jack: Reporter #1, I believe you were first.
#1: Last time we saw you was at GCC 8. At the time you alluded to possible retirement. What exactly made you want to come back?
Jack: I would have left my career prematurely. There are still goals that I have set out to accomplish, and I haven't done so yet.
The first goal is to become the first person in GCC history to have won belts in two weight classes. I started that goal when I was able to submit Clive Hicks way back at GFN 5, and a win over Paul Rossi will help me along the way.
Jack shuffles in his chair, as he awaits another question.
#2: What can you tell us about your experiences from coaching GUF?
Jack: It was fun. They were a great group of talented fighters, who wanted nothing more than to improve their abilities, and earn a GCC contract.
Tomorrow night several fighters from team Nation will compete at the GUF finale, and I couldn't be happier for them.
The third reporter speaks up almost immediately.
#3: Do you have any thoughts on who you would like to see win the lightweight and middleweight finals?
Jack let's a small smile escape.
Jack: No. I'm very proud of all of my fighters, and whoever wins will have deserved it.
Another small silence allows Jack to take a drink out of his water bottle.
#4: Would you consider it a stamp on the GUF season if you're able to defeat Paul Rossi?
Jack: No. GUF is all about the up-and-coming fighters. We are just there as coaches. The kids do all the work.
#2: Do you have anything to say about Paul Rossi?
Jack shakes his head.
Jack: He's a great fighter and tomorrow may the better man win.
A long silence follows. When there are no further questions Jack politely thanks the reporters and disconnects from the zoom conference call.
On the quality of her first camp with TundraMMA headed into her fight against Sassy Vega:
On her haste to get back into the octagon:
On her opponent’s silence leading into the fight:
On if Gaia would ever be a GUF coach if offered the opportunity:
On how she sees her fight against Vega going:
On being such a heavy underdog in this fight:
Regarding his stint as GUF coach:
It was a different experience for me. I've always been that guy to help you out, but being a head coach is a lot different.
If somebody loses you can't Pat them on the back and tell him good luck next time. You have to see beyond what their physical limitations are. You got to see what they're limitations might be.
Regarding the outcome of GUF'S first season:
Hmm. It wasn't ideal. It seemed once things got rough, they all got going. It wasn't embarrassing to me. I trained these guys. I helped them out.
After all that they just walked away. I hope to never see anyone of them in an MMA cage. The only fighter worth a damn was Jessie Wilde. He's the only one that stayed around.
On coaching opposite of Jack Nation:
He's a hell of a fighter. Other than that he's an asshole. He would constantly sit there and make snod remarks while cameras weren't around.
I'm going to fuck him up on Friday night. I have nothing more to say about Jack Nation, but I'm going to fuck his day up.
On his move to middleweight:
Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I feel that my career path is more open at middleweight than it would be at lightweight.
I don't like cutting all that weight to fight. I also don't like the idea of fighting a good friend of mine like Rob Jones for the title.
Before you twist my words, I'm not afraid of any man including Rob Jones, and he's not afraid of anybody either.
What he had to say about Khan's prediction of him being in contendership:
I wasn't surprised, and I won't be surprised when it happens. Other than my first fight in GCC I have never let anybody down.
I don't plan to let that happen Friday night either.
