A couple reporters corner Mark Addison in the back after his fight With Ivan Reddy.
<Q> Mark, that was an awesome fight, very entertaining, congratuations.
Mark Addison
Thanks I guess.
<Q> Do you think you might be in for some bonus money?
Mark Addison
I think we're a little early in the card to get serious consideration for Fight of the Night. Ivan might get the sub bonus though.
<Q> Did you feel you were winning the fight when you were submitted?
Mark Addison
It's hard to tell what judges think sometimes, but I think I edged that first round. Winning rounds only matters if the fight goes the distance though, so it's not really worth talking about.
<Q> It seemed like you were working your game plan successfully in the beginning of the first round, what happened?
Mark Addison
Well, the gameplan was to keep the fight on the feet, and fight at distance so he couldn't drag me into his guard, that worked in the beginning of the fight, but going into the second round I got a little too close, and he managed to get me down into his guard. I managed to keep top position, but played in his guard a little too long and got caught.
<Q> In much of your pre-fight social media interaction it seemed like you maybe were dismissive of Reddy's threat to you, was this maybe a case of overconfidence.
Mark Addison
I don't think so, I always respected Reddy's threat on the ground, but I knew if I could feet the fight standing, I would probably come out on top, it just didn't work out that way. No excuses, you understand, he caught me fair and square, and was totally deserving of his victory.
<Q> So what's next for you?
Mark Addison
I get back into the gym at HILITE FC and start preparing for my next fight. I can't say enough for my teammates, and all the help they've given me with gameplanning, and being in an MMA fight instead of just a striking fight, and will be watching Misty and Clive defend their titles tonight. I expect they'll do well. As for what's next, that's tough to say, and totally up to Mr. Kahn. I don't even have a win yet, so I'm definately at the bottom of the rankings, and have no real right to be demanding opponents, so I'll take on whoever he puts in front of me. Hopefully I can get back in the cage soon, and get things turned around.
