After weeks of negotiations and public spats, GCC President Fazan Khan has finally come to terms with controversial free agent, Misty DeMeans. After debuting with Union Pro nearly a year ago, she cut through the lightweight division amassing a 5-0 undefeated record. Her fights were known to be quick and decisive as each one of her victories came by the way of knockout. She was released earlier this year after being signed to a $900,000 per fight deal and scheduled to fight Black Rose, Hanako Takeuchi for the Union GP lightweight championship in the summer due to performance enhancement allegations and alleged steroid abuse. Despite Union GP filing for her release, Misty has never been suspended by any athletic sports commission within the United States and GCC reps state that Misty DeMeans will be subjected to standard drug testing and will likely fight in regulated testing zones as an added precaution. The company (GCC) as a whole seems to be unfazed by the potential controversy that may come with the signing domestically within the United States as they continue to expand their reach to international audiences and markets around the rest of the world. Misty DeMeans is expected to take a hefty pay cut at a base salary starting around $250,000 over a spand of three GCC fights not including bonuses and other incentives making her already one of the highest paid GCC fighters. It is not yet known when Misty DeMeans will make her GCC debut but she's expected to fight either Anaquin Adams (1-1) or Rupika Khan (2-0) in her return to the octagon, although it's highly likely that due to her notorious profile she will have a long list of potential suitors.
