On Tim McCarthy
''The guy is a beast. I mean to go out there and do that to a guy like Sigurd Bjarnasson is a pretty big deal, no doubt Tim McCarthy is one of the top contenders in the division. With Ibanez scheduled to defend his title against Hicks we will have to see how that fight turns out, who wins and what shape they are in after the fight. We'll have to talk to the champion and see how quickly they are able to turn around and defend the title again and if not, we'll need to see what Tim is thinking in terms of his schedule. The guy is hungry to fight and told me he wants to get back in and do it again as soon as possible... very exciting stuff, I just don't have all the answers yet.''
On Tundra MMA's uprising
''I haven't seen anything like it. Since these guys got together they haven't lost a single fight. I know with the way the House of Khan fell out with Aleks he's had a chip on his shoulder but I cannot deny he's done amazing work out of Russia with his team. And their prospects? Their prospects coming into the GCC are looking great from what we've seen as well. I think as long as he (Aleks) can keep a solid head on his shoulders they'll do well. I wish them all the best.''
On GUF's debut on August 28th
''We are extremely excited about the debut of GUF. We got the guys about to move into the house in a bit and the fans can expect to hear a lot more about the cast members over the next few weeks in preparation for the show. We know reality television isn't anything new in of itself but the format of the show and what we're aiming to with it is something fans haven't seen in this space before and will set us apart from our competitors.''
On the return of the former featherweight champion
''Which one? Oh, Gaia. Yes, of course. Gaia Galanos is as game as ever for this fight. I know there's been a lot of chatter and rumors as of late as to where her head is at after her back to back losing skid and her social media presence being scaled back so heavily but I just think that's all just a very bad sign for Mia Stevens. Gaia Galanos is a complete mixed martial artist and I think she will remind everyone of that fact on Friday Night.
On the Co Main event
''Nika Kosov was excited when we brought the match up to her and Trixie Redd is down to fight anybody in the division at a moments notice so as you can imagine the bout came together very quickly. With Nika coming off a knockout loss to Krystal Knight I was initially cautious about offering her this match up so soon but we heard independently that this was a bout she really wanted. I have a lot of respect for Nika Kosov for wanting to get back into the cage so quickly knowing full well she's stepping into the cage with a killer like Trixie Redd. I definitely see this one being the fight of the night when it's all said and done.''
On the GCC 11 main event
''This is a rematch the MMA world has been looking forward to for a long time. Alejandro Rivera has mocked Jay Aguero over the span of several months now and I know that Aguero would love nothing more than to knock him out cold. Bad blood aside, I think winning the GCC championship means more to Jay then exacting a measure of revenge against Rivera. The best thing about a fight like this is that we get to see how both men are going to adjust and see what they've learned about each-other in the first bout. Since Alejandro Rivera won their first fight it's even more vital for Jay Aguero to make those adjustments to change up his fortune here. Whoever wins this fight; make no mistake about it, Ross Hanson has been waiting patiently in the wings. I hope you all are expecting fireworks tomorrow night my friends.''
Galanos Looks Primed For Explosive Return
Gaia Galanos was a big target for the reporters during the press conference, but she only offered fairly short answers to most of these questions. It's not uncommon for the House of Khan Fighter to speak softly. In fact, it may mean doom for her opponent Mia Stevens. It seems war drums are all Galanos hears right now as she prepares for her GCC octagon return.
