See last year we built some housing units at HILITE FC for the pro team after Lester Only, L1 started training with us. The COVID 19 scare meant that we closed our doors to the public so it was easy to remain hidden, out of mind and out of sight. The media had zero access. My teammates remained loyal and didn't say a word as expected. In other words, I've had an amazing training camp coming into this fight and I am more than ready to beat the fuck out of Jessica House tomorrow night.

I think Atara Themis needs to focus on her own fight with Jade Young before she gets slept. She has no business with me until she wins another 2-3 fights, so what is we really talking about now? What has she done? Who has she even beat? I appreciate the grind she's on to make a name for herself and the way she sells her fights but she needs to do more resume building before she can apply for this position. Simple.

It's why he's a half decent MMA promoter and leagues above everyone else in the field. The reality is, his granddaughter had shown me in our very first fight that the GCC is the greatest MMA promotion in the world and everyone else is reminded of it every time a new MMA promotion opens their door looking more like GCC and less like those other guys. I've spent the last 80 plus days training my ass off for this fight because at the highest level over here you don't just win fights by showing up and raising your hand when taking attendance, you come in with a plan, a strategy, some art of war type shit you feel me?

If she's bleeding you know she's going to be thinking about the fight being stopped and some other shit and that's going to fuck her up real bad. The idea is to just keep the fight standing. We watched tape on her, we know she's going to shoot a double and try to take the fight to the ground. Her camp lied to her and said imma one dimensional fighter, bad mistake. It was just a matter of time before it happened. I had a couple of hiccups early on, but that was all it was. Everyone should have seen what was coming when I knocked out that has-been, Cayden Redfield, and when Sergiy Revenko knocked out Awut Somaskul. I was knocking people out right and left, it was just a matter of time.

That bitch is nothing but a schemer. I know she's going to be there at GCC 10, you all know she's going to be there at GCC 10, whether you want to admit it or not. How does Rob Jones feel about the state of the lightweight division?

On the other end of the phone, Vishis Vourture takes a seat in an empty, dimly lit room with two unidentified men wearing all black and wielding automatic rifles.

''Well, tell us more about yourself? Like, what makes a man like you tick.'' The interviewer asks.

''It doesn't take a lot.'' Vishis replies while he pulls out a pistol.

In the room, a muffled scream is heard as two more men shuffle inside the room dragging an unwilling participant inside of the room and throwing him into the chair in front of Vishis.

''I'm just a family man. God fearing. I got two kids, a lovely wife at home. Life is wonderful, you feel me?''

''Come on Vishis. That aggression... it comes from somewhere, surely.''

Vishis grins at the man in front of him before the bag is ripped off his face.

''Sure but the past is the past, I work everyday to put that behind me. I have been given a great opportunity with the GCC to make things right and I intend on making the most of it.''

''In an interview with Jocelyn Edwards earlier this week, you seemingly made a threat against Rob Jones.''

A slam is heard on a zoom call, as a man cries out in pain.

''Vishis?''

''Yeah, yeah... my bad. Look man, we don't like Rob Jones around here he talks too much and the streets always listening.''

Blood leaks onto the table in front of Vishis and so pulls the young man up by his hair.

''He needs to understand that ALL actions have consequences. He had a lot of shit to say about me and my fam and we had to sleep on that.''

Vishis let's the man go and he falls face first down onto the table. Without a care in the world he collects on a pocket full of cash; still there was more $ to collect.

''How do you feel you match up against Rob Jones?''

''Good enough.'' Vishis says with a nod and pockets the cash as his henchman carry the beaten and bruised man away.

''Care to elaborate?''

Vishis leans back. ''We both got the same fighting style. We hit hard and we hit fast. So I know he's gonna take refuge in the fact he's got more experience inside a GCC cage. That's cool but the boy fails to understand that a GCC cage is the safest place that any of us out here could possibly be.'''

''And if you win, what will that mean to you and your family.''

''Everything.'' Vishis acknowledges while he unloads the bullets from his pistol and then lays it down on the table. ''I've been trying to find a way out for a while now and now I finally see it. If that means I need to go through Rob Jones to get there... then let's just say, I have already arrived.''

Vishis Vourture has disconnected from the zoom meeting.

Juanita's feelings about Rupika Khan.

She's a really great fighter, she's number three in the rankings, that's why I asked to fight her. She feels like I believe she's a soft touch, that can't be further from the truth.

If her challenging Rupika Khan had anything to do with the way Anaquin Adams had to retire.

(nervous laugh) an injury suffered in a fight isn't the ideal way to retire. Rupika is not to be hated, she didn't mean to hurt Anaquin. She is my friend though, so yes I can't lie, I do want a little vindication for my old teammate.

Let me clarify, the challenge was mainly based on her ranking in the featherweight division. At the time of the challenge I had faced everybody in the top five except Rupika and my old teammate Jessica House, and I will fight everybody in the top 5 until I get my second title shot.

Whether Juanita believes a win over Rupika Khan will earn a title shot or will the winner fight Alexia Amauri.

I can't say for certain. I would like to fight for the featherweight championship again, but if I have to fight Alexia for the number one contender spot I will.

All I can do is go in there with a good strategy, and do my best!

A) Rupika, it's great to see you back! You haven't had a fight since

defeating and retiring Anaquin Adams back on GCC 6 when you submitted

her with an armbar in the second round. Was there a reason for your

layoff?

Rupika Khan: Nah, I've just been chilling! I mean don't get me wrong, I

haven't been Misty DeMeaning it for the last few months but me and my

grandpapa were waiting for the right fight to come about. After my win,

I found myself in a unique position in the rankings one that required a

bit more thought then just rushing back in the cage to do it again.

Plus, with all this COVID stuff going on it's really been a blessing in

disguise to step back in the cage at a time where my grandpapa seems to

have everything in control.

A) So you don't buy Misty's excuse for why she's refused to defend her

title then?

Rupika Khan: Of course not, nobody does! If I did not push Misty five

rounds in our first fight she would be stepping in the cage thinking

she was still untouchable and unbeatable but me doing what I did to her

for five rounds really has messed with that big head of hers. She

fought Knight and Galanos because she had no choice but now that she

has won the GCC featherweight championship she feels the pressure and

knows that she could very well lose it all and so is trying to draw out her

title run as long as she possibly can. I see right through her game!

A) I do want to divert for just a second here and mention your cousin,

Sunnie Khan? She successfully defended her Supreme MMA bantamweight

championship last week. What are your thoughts on how she's progressed?

Rupika Khan: Uh oh... somebody is getting their press credentials

revoked! Yikes. Anyways. Yeah, Sunnie? That's my little cuzzo and I am

so proud of her and how much ass she's been kicking over there. I know

my grandpapa HATES when I talk about outside business and things so I

don't want to say too much but I hope to see her return to The House of

Khan in the future and maybe even have her fight in the GCC where I've

always felt like she's belonged. But yes, I am very proud of Sunnie!

A) And how do you feel about Juanita Sanchez specifically calling you

out for a fight?

Rupika Khan: I get that question a lot. It seems to be a common thing

in this division. It's as really as simple as fighters not respecting

my abilities. They think because I don't have a BLACK belt in Ju Jitsu

or the fact that I don't have a background in wrestling or that I am

not a great striker or that because I am just some little ''Indian''

girl fighting under the banner of some evil Muslim dictatorship that

shouldn't be respected! Ignorance. That's it. That's all it is.

Ignorance! I am not saying that Juanita Sanchez is completely ignorant

but ultimately her coaches take a look over at their little scouting

reports and tell her ''she's not great at anything'', so she gets up on

her little pedestal and calls ME out for a fight.

A) So then how do you overcome Juanita Sanchez?

Rupika Khan: ... with the sum of ALL my efforts. There are many ways to

win a fight and there are glaring holes in Juanita Sanchez mixed

martial arts game that I will exploit. I know this sport better than

she does. I know the ins and outs of the fight game she has still yet

to grasp at such a young innocent age. More importantly, I rise to the

occasion while she is known to break and falter when the pressure is at

it's highest.

A) Rumor has it the winner of this fight could go on to fight for the

title despite your grandfather refusing to commit to that. What are

your thoughts?

Rupika Khan: My grandpapa won't say it because he's terrified of being

seen as biased but if I don't win this fight there is NO WAY Juanita

Sanchez is next in line especially if Misty DeMeans does show up and

somehow beats Jessica House! My grandpapa has no faith that Juanita

Sanchez isn't going to choke like she's done in her last two title

fights and he wants to make sure that if Misty steps into the GCC cage

after tonight that she fights someone capable of beating her so Juanita

would go on to fight Alexia Amauri for a chance at Misty. Now if I win?

I mean... when I win!? I will get the next title shot, obviously.

Everyone KNOWS I had that first fight won against Misty and that I

deserved a rematch. Well then after I BEAT Juanita Sanchez, it will be

un-debatable that it is I who is next in line!
