BIOGRAPHY
Meizumi is a second generation fighter. Her father was a wrestler for many years, only hanging up his boots when he was ready to focus on raising his child and deciding to financially support his family through a safer job. For years, Eikichi Kirigawa, Meizumi's father, tried to convince her to follow in his footsteps. With Meizumi being the only child of the Kirigawa household, he really wanted someone to continue the tradition of wrestling. Alas, Meizumi seemed adamant on wanting to do her own thing.
However, after repeated instances of bullying throughout her school years and even a few close calls with attempted rape and sexual assault, Meizumi couldn't deny one thing. Push had come to shove, and she clearly needed a way to defend herself. With wrestling not quite being the same as self-defense, Meizumi looked for something that seemed more appropriate to consider going into. At the age of 15, she began attending an Aikido dojo and started working her way up the ranks. Many of the older members, including her sensei, highly suggested she considered becoming a professional when she came of age.
The idea was tucked away into the back of her mind, but before that, Meizumi went into another career path; one she'd had her eyes on since around the same time she started Aikido. Modeling, which she has done since the age of 18. With Meizumi having consistently worked and trained at her dojo over the past eight years, she is now ready to take the advice and try debuting in the professional world of fighting and MMA. After some scouting, she found Global Combat Championships and is ready to begin her journey as a pro fighter.
