BIOGRAPHY
Born in Osaka, Japan to the legendary grappler Kenji Kato (the founder of the Red Viper Fighting System) Takeshi was trained in his families patented jiu jitsu from an early age and showed a natural affinity for the art form. He surpassed the skills of his older brothers and earned a black belt when he was 19 and headed to North America where he built up a 3-0 MMA record before turning to professional wrestling and going on a nine month undefeated streak in HWO and becoming the companies top star before it was eventually sold. He then took a position in Toronto, Canada as a grappling instructor for James Ravens HILITE Fighting Club and eventually returned to the sport of MMA, running his all time record to 7-1 and capturing the Union GP Lightweight title before being offered a GCC contract.
